        Let’s start with the windows! For this project, the homeowners wanted to solve a common Midwest problem: inconsistent indoor temperatures and high energy costs. The solution? A comprehensive upgrade featuring industry-leading, energy efficient, Alside Mezzo Triple-Pane Double-Hung (DH) windows, delivering a flawless blend of style, durability, and year-round thermal comfort. In all, we replaced 1 bow window and 13 DH windows.

        We tore out all of the old windows and replaced them with new vinyl Alside thermal Triple-Pane Mezzo DH windows (color: white/white); boosting the home’s energy efficiency levels by providing more consistent and stable year-round comfort. All windows feature ClimaTech® ThermD TG2 insulating glass (Low-E) and argon gas with a manufacturer’s lifetime, transferable warranty against glass breakage (unless specified otherwise). 

        All of the windows  were built with an interior box featuring a fully laminated light oak box and 3 ¼” (color: colonial white) and all the windows received custom, field-fabricated flashing.
         Next, we tore off all of the old dated, inefficient vinyl siding and began work on the first layer of protection for the home, a Tyvek Wrap. In all of our homes, before a single panel of siding goes up, our dedicated and experienced local contractors and exterior specialists lay the foundation for decades of flawless protection. We seal the home in a premium Tyvek vapor barrier wrap, paired with our signature, custom field-fabricated flashing. By meticulously engineering these connections between the wall and the siding we created a watertight seal with absolutely zero reliance on caulking. It’s an invisible line of defense, explicitly designed to bulletproof those hidden, vulnerable gaps where standard installations fail. Only when this stop is complete do we begin the siding installation.

        We proceeded with the exterior renovation by installing Composite Cladding siding in a rich deep moss color. Different from wood and fiber cement/hardie board siding that requires constant maintenance (such as touch ups or repainting every 5-10 years), Composite Cladding gives homeowners years of maintenance-free upkeep while maintaining its great look.         The product also features aeration openings that are hidden inside the panel’s grooves to provide the airflow needed to reduce heat and humidity build-up in attics. The siding project was completed with custom aluminum fascia in a white color.
