Take a look at our newest completed home right out of Schaumburg, IL where our dedicated and experienced exterior specialists completely rehauled the home’s current window system with new windows throughout in a beautiful timeless Dark Oak color. We replaced all of the existing windows with Thermal Triple-Pane DH windows. The window upgrades boosted the home’s energy efficiency levels by providing more consistent and stable year-round comfort. All windows feature ClimaTech® ThermD TG2 insulating glass (Low-E) and argon gas with a manufacturer’s lifetime, transferable warranty against glass breakage (unless specified otherwise). Finally, all of the windows and doors were customized with efficient field-fabricated flashing

For the home’s siding, we first tore off all of the old, inefficient wood batten siding and then moved onto repairs as we fixed all of the plywood throughout the exterior of the home. After the foundation of the home exterior walls was ready, we then installed Ascend Composite Cladding Siding (color: Flagship Brown). The product is ideal for not warping, fading, shrinking, swelling, rotting, or proving problematic during installation (unlike other siding systems). Different from wood and fiber cement/hardie board siding that requires constant maintenance (such as touch ups or repainting every 5-10 years), Composite Cladding gives homeowners years of maintenance-free upkeep while maintaining its great look. Additionally, the industry-leading lifetime warranty guarantees lasting beauty and superior performance – truly giving homeowners peace of mind. The new custom aluminum trim is perfect for homeowners looking to add strength, rigidity and stability to the exterior of their home. Our team of craftsman implemented Michon Siding & Windows’ ‘Signature Custom Aluminum Trim Beveled Frame & Overlap’ system for all of the windows and doors (including the garage door);  reinforcing the critical siding-trim connection for a Maintenance Free application that requires absolutely no caulking! 

Not only did the home benefit from big aesthetic changes but also structural ones! Just like all Michon siding projects, our dedicated and experienced local contractors and exterior specialists installed a Tyvek vapor barrier wrap with custom field-fabricated flashing to tightly seal and reinforce the installation and the connections between the wall and siding (with absolutely no caulking!). This includes the addition of ½” insulation for added energy efficiency. These steps were critical to securely protect the home against sensitive gaps and spots that are invisible to the eye.

We completed the exterior renovation by replacing the gutters with new coordinating seamless gutters that feature oversized downspouts in a Royal Brown color with a new fascia board.. Every single detail in this project was meticulously thought out and chosen to benefit the overall curb appeal of the home and the ENTIRE project is 100% maintenance free with a limited lifetime warranty.

    • Tear off existing wood batten siding and repaired all plywood and installed Ascend Composite, Cladding Horizontal Siding (color: Flagship Brown)
    • Installed a Tyvek barrier wrap with Custom field-fabricated flashing
  • Gutters: Installed Seamless Gutters (0,032”) with oversized downspouts and fascia (color: Royal Brown). New fascia board (color: Sand Due)
  • Trim:
    • Custom Aluminum Trim, beveled-frame, overlap system on all the windows and the entry door. (color: Sand Due). Any rotten wood was replaced
  • Windows:
    • Installed 4 lite Alside Triple-Pane Glass Windows where the first and fourth are open
    • Installed DBL windows where both windows open left to right. One of the DBL casement windows in the bathroom feature tempered glass
    • Installed casement windows where the the first and third is open
    • Bay Window: The bay window features 2 casement windows and 1 picture window.. The bay window opens left to right. Box will be laminated on Light Oak
